And those who forget fall ill first. Some died vomiting blood at night. Some choked on their own reflections in mirrors. Some vanished with a scream—his voice never ceased. The city emptied; not silence, but whispers. The doctor wandered through all the streets alone. With every step, he changed a little. His hand trembled, his mask cracked, his eyes darkened.
