Once, a lone traveler had taken shelter there for the night. In the morning, only his shoes lay outside the door. As if they were still waiting for him. The townspeople noticed over time that before the door opened, the house's windows would fog up as if breathing. And then… one by one, the windows would begin to burn from the inside. A small but sinister ceremony. Door 14 wasn't just taking victims—it was stealing memories. Those who returned home as if they'd heard someone's voice no longer remembered any of their names. Some couldn't recognize themselves when they looked in the mirror, others wept, forgetting their own names. Over time, a rumor spread: Every year, Gate 14 tried to undo a mistake. But the gate's mistake was greater than the people's. One night, a clerk came to town. He carried hundreds of pages of old diaries. His notes read: "House 14 isn't really a house—it's a seal. What lives inside can only dream of the outside." The clerk spent that night in front of the house. In the morning, only one thing was found: an empty diary. And on the first page of the diary was written: "This year, Gate 14 chose me." There was never a scream from inside the house. But everyone knows that silence is sometimes the loudest scream. The eye above the door becomes more visible each year. The glass shines brighter. And the skulls… they become new. Today, the town is off the map. But that house is still there, a mapless reality.
